About this Event
Trio Accordé is a one-of-a-kind ensemble, uniting three of the most promising rising stars of their generation — violinist , saxophonist , and accordionist . With roots spanning Brazil, Russia, and Poland, the trio brings together diverse traditions and musical voices in a combination rarely seen on the classical stage. Their sound is fresh, unexpected, and deeply engaging, blending the singing lyricism of the violin, the expressive power of the saxophone, and the kaleidoscopic colors of the accordion.
Each member is an award-winning soloist in their own right: Nathan is a Grand Prize winner of both CAG and YCAT and winner of the Sphinx Competition, praised by Yo-Yo Ma for his rare artistry; Valentin is the Naumburg International Saxophone Competition laureate with a celebrated Carnegie Hall debut and an international presence both on stage and online; Iwo, described as the “Glenn Gould of the Accordion,” is a Fulbright Scholar and winner of the Astral National Competition, renowned for reshaping the way audiences hear his instrument.
As Trio Accordé, they share not only dazzling virtuosity but also a spirit of curiosity and adventure. Their performances invite audiences to experience chamber music anew — a place where tradition meets innovation, and where three brilliant musical voices merge into one extraordinary sound.
Three award-winning performers join forces for a dynamic program of music by Mozart, Bartók, Gershwin, Piazzolla, and more. This newly-formed trio delves into their unique instrumentation with classic works and original arrangements in this singular one-night-only performance.
