As part of the library’s continued observance of the National Day of Listening, the library will host a special writing workshop led by acclaimed author, journalist, and former editor Jeff Cowart on Friday, November 27, from 2–5 p.m. at the Main Library at Goodwood.
Celebrating its 10th year in 2026, the Trinity Writers Workshop encourages writers of all experience levels to explore the power of storytelling and self-expression. Participants will explore fiction, nonfiction, poetry, journaling, and other forms of writing while developing their storytelling skills in a supportive environment.
Cowart is an award-winning journalist, poet, and author who has held senior editorial positions at newspapers including The Advocate and The Business Report in Baton Rouge. He is the author of six books and brings decades of experience in writing, editing, journalism, and communications.
