To enable participants to signpost people they come into contact with in information and/or advice to appropriate services, including those affected by the cost of living crisis

Objectives

• Recognise indicators of a need for information or advice

• Understand what ‘signposting’ is and how to do it

• Use a ‘client-centred’ approach

• Understand the basic principles of confidentiality and being non-judgemental

• Recognise the importance of listening and questioning skills
