TRICK OR DRINK: River North Adult Trick-or-Treating Bar
About this Event
Trick or Drink is adult trick-or-treating, run exactly like the real thing. You show up in costume. You get a bucket. You go door to door. Every door is a bar, and every bar has something waiting for you.
The only difference is what lands in the bucket.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Check in. Swing by Rocbar between 3:00 and 5:00 PM. You get your wristband, your bag, and free shot!
2. Go door to door. Seven River North bars and counting, every one of them within walking distance of the last. Hit them in any order you want, at your own pace, for five hours.
3. Say the words. Walk up to the bar, flash the wristband/ticket, and trick-or-treat. They hand you the goods.
4. Be done by 8. The crawl ends at 8:00 PM, which means your night hasn't even started yet.
WHAT'S IN THE BUCKET
Every stop hands out something different. Across the route you're collecting:
- 🥃 Free shots at select venues — announced closer to the date. Not every stop, and one per person where they're offered
- 🍬 Candy. Real candy, in a real trick-or-treating bag, handed to you by a bizzy nights associate
- 🍗 Free Dave's Hot Chicken sandwich coupons
- ☕ Free coffee coupons — for the version of you who has to exist tomorrow
- 🎁 Bizzy Nights swag and more partner treats dropping between now and Halloween
Partners are still being added. Follow @BIZZY.NIGHTS — every new treat gets announced there first, and the trick-or-treating bag only gets heavier.
WHEN IT'S GONE, IT'S GONE
You already know how this works. You knocked on the good house at 6:30 and got the good stuff. Your friend knocked at 8:15 and got a dum-dum and a look.
Same rules here.
Every treat is first come, first served, while supplies last. Each venue gets a set amount of candy, coupons, and swag for the day. When a bar runs out of something, it's out — no restock, no rain check, no exceptions. Different bars will run out of different things at different times, and some stops will have treats that others don't.
This is the entire reason to show up at 3:00 instead of 6:00. The early crawlers clean up. The late ones get what's left.
The free shots are part of this too. They're only at select venues, they'll be announced before the crawl, and where they're offered they last exactly as long as the pour list does. Knock early.
WHY 3 TO 8
Halloween is on a Saturday this year. That's the whole point.
Most Halloween events make you choose. Show up at 10 PM, stand outside in your costume in October, and hope the room isn't already shoulder to shoulder.
Trick or Drink runs in daylight. You're crawling while the city is still fun to walk through, the bars are at their emptiest, and you're out by 8:00 with the entire night still ahead of you. Go to the party after. Go home and sleep. Both are correct.
