Every now and again, Tributosaurus is presented with a delightful conundrum. How best to pay homage to a body of work, or in this case an epic event, when it is not feasible to do the ‘one band, one night’ version of what we do?Please join us at Fitzgerald’s in their brand new outdoor pavilion, as Tributosaurus becomes Woodstock on Saturday August 23rd. Yes, you will get the entire legendary music festival: we will do one song by every artist that played the main stage in August of 1969. It’s an extraordinary opportunity, and an absurd challenge, to hit so many styles back to back to back. You’ll hear the transcendental jamming of Santana and the Grateful Dead, the sublime harmonies of CSNY and The Band, the explosive middle of the night funk of Sly & The Family Stone, the catharsis of Joe Cocker covering The Beatles, and so much more.
After years of careful consideration and planning, Fitzgerald’s is now unveiling a permanent structure for music in the parking lot: one continuous wooden structure with a peaked roof that looks great, and lets bands sound amazing. The result is stunning, and we’re thrilled to get to perform there, for a concert we’ve been dying to recreate for many years.
