Songwriters at Play celebrates the music of Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks, with a tribute concert on Sat. April 8. Show begins at 4pm, at SLO Wine and Beer Co., 3536 South Higuera St., San Luis Obispo. The performers are all singer-songwriters in their own right. L.A.-based artists Julie Lee, and Jovi Espina, join the lineup of Central Coast musicians Paddy Marsh, Taylor C. Lewis, Cassi Nicholls, Perry West, Cynthia Ford, Sebastian Luna, the duo called Ragged Company, and the trio, Gavin Brothers.
The concert is produced by Songwriters at Play, husband-wife team, Steve Key and Bonnie Nelson-Key. Most of their events feature artists performing original material (such as every other Wednesday events at SLO Wine and Beer Co.), but they have hosted many tributes over the years.
