TRIBUTE TO THE BIRTH OF MODERN JAZZ: FROM 1940S BEBOP TO 1950S HARD BOP

The Prague-based international sextet "Bohemia After Dark" is dedicated to authentic arrangements of classics and neglected gems from the golden age of bebop in the 1940s through to the hard bop of the 1950s. Modern jazz giants featured in the band's repertoire include Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, Kenny Clarke, Charlie Parker, Tadd Dameron, Miles Davis, J.J. Johnson, Clifford Brown, Donald Byrd and Cannonball Adderley, as well as the singers Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen McRae and Annie Ross.
