Tribute to Mnemosyne

Let us travel back in time to Greek mythology, when Zeus disguised  himself as a shepherd in order to seduce Mnemosyne, the goddess of memory. Their nine nights together resulted in the birth of nine muses, who became the symbols of inspiration and creativity. 

With Mnemosyne as our guide, we will enter the land of the past and the land of memories through musical masterpieces by Tchaikovsky, Mahler, Debussy, Ravel, Satie, and Valentin Bibik. Were these composers demi-gods or humans or perhaps both? Dramatic readings from the composers’ memoirs will help us decide.
