??????????? ist bekannt für ihre einzigartige Mischung aus Gothic und Death Metal. Die 2005 gegründete Band besteht aus Johannes Andersson (Vocals/Bass), Adam Zaars (Gitarre), Joseph Tholl (Gitarre) und Oscar Leander (Schlagzeug). Sie haben im Laufe ihrer Karriere mehrere fesselnde Alben veröffentlicht und sind für ihre theatralischen Live-Auftritte bekannt. Das neue Album „Sub Rosa in Æternum“, das am 01.11. erscheint, ist die erste Veröffentlichung der Band nach ihrer EP „Hamartia“ aus dem Jahr 2023, die nach dem preisgekrönten letzten Studioalbum „Where the Gloom Becomes Sound“ von Tribulation aus dem Jahr 2021 ebenfalls von der Kritik gefeiert wurde.
Düster, atmosphärisch und etwas trotzig, aber auch melodisch und mit kleinen Lichtblicken – das beschreibt das erste Album „Almost There“ von ??????? wohl am Besten. Das Trio aus Toulouse (Frankreich) steht für anspruchsvolle Musik und einen künstlerischen Ausdruck von Emotionen auf eine ganz eigene Art und Weise, der an ein postmodernes Theaterstück erinnert.
