Triad Charter/Private School Choice Townhall

Moms of Color for School Choice is nonpartisan organization (501c3 pending) focused on making high quality education accessible to children from poor and working class families through the expansion of school choice. Our 3-5 year goal is to improve Math & Reading proficiency in schools districts where the median HH income level is less that the State median. Wealthy families with HH incomes of $120K+ have more school choice than working class families because they can and segregate themselves by income and family structure (across races), while leaving working class children in public schools that lack discipline and academic rigor. Expanding schools choice to middle and working class parents gives them similar options as wealthy parents to obtain better instructional opportunities their children.
