TRENT HEAFORD MEMORIAL LANDBASED COMPETITION 2026
Hi Members & Followers,
Registration for the 2026 Trent Heaford Memorial Landbased Competition will open on Friday 19th June from 8am at either Burnsco Halfmoon bay or Top Catch Pakuranga.
Gather your mates, head to your favourite secret land-based fishing spot anywhere in New Zealand, and compete for the heaviest:
• Snapper
• Kahawai
• Kingfish
Fish anywhere in New Zealand – the competition will go ahead regardless of weather conditions.
Entry Details
Registration available from Burnsco Half Moon Bay and Top Catch Pakuranga.
• Members: $25
• Non-members: $35
Tickets can be purchased during opening hours from 8:00am Friday 19 June until 12:00pm Saturday 20 June 2026.
Weigh-In Details
Fish can be weighed in at Burnsco Half Moon Bay, Anchor Building, 1 Ara-Tai Drive, Half Moon Bay, Auckland, during opening hours from Friday 19 June until 4:30pm Sunday 21 June 2026.
All anglers must be in the weigh-in queue between 3:30pm and 4:30pm on Sunday 21 June 2026.
Prize Giving & BBQ
The prize giving and BBQ will be held at Burnsco Half Moon Bay, Anchor Building, 1 Ara-Tai Drive, Half Moon Bay, Auckland following the completion of the weigh-in and collation of results.
This is an open competition; however, competitors must be financial club members to be eligible to win the Trent Heaford Landbased Snapper Trophy.
