What do Ramen, Summer Memories, and Public Speaking Have in Common?
At our last Toastmasters meeting, Po-Wei took us on a flavorful journey to a popular ramen shop in Santa Clara. After waiting 30 minutes in line, he finally savored a steaming bowl of ramen—and we got to savor his story! Along the way, we learned about the dish’s origins and celebrated Po-Wei’s progress as he completed his Level 1 speech. 👏
His evaluator, Jim, highlighted how Po-Wei built on feedback from an earlier speech—a perfect example of how Toastmasters helps us grow through practice and encouragement.
Our Table Topics brought the season’s theme to life: Labor Day & the End of Summer. Members shared their childhood summer highlights, shopping wins at end-of-summer sales, and even strategies for reducing stress while pursuing their goals. 🌞
