Trends for Small Businesses - SENC Discussion Event

Join Seattle entrepreneurs for a relaxed discussion about trends for small businesses.

Trends come and trends go. Some of them work temporarily, and some end up becoming permanent parts of the industry landscape. How do you keep up with the trends in your industry? How do you decide when to follow them and when to “swim upstream”? Join us for a relaxed group discussion with other business owners. Hear diverse perspectives and make connections with other entrepreneurs!

From 5:30pm - 7:00pm, we'll have our group discussion. Then at 7:00pm, after the discussion, feel free to hang out, talk, network, learn more about each other, etc.

Discussion Questions:

• What methods or sources do you currently rely on to identify emerging trends in your industry, and how effective have they been in guiding your business decisions?
• What specific trends have you observed or followed in recent years that have had a significant impact on your business, and how did you recognize their potential value?
• When considering new trends, how do you decide whether they are worth pursuing for your business?
• How do you balance the need to stay current with industry trends while also maintaining focus on your business's core values and offerings?
• In a rapidly changing landscape, how do you stay agile and adaptable in incorporating new trends into your business strategy, and how do you mitigate risks associated with following emerging trends?

Important to know

This is a small group discussion where you actually get to know the other attendees. You'll get practical advice, meet motivating people, and share time with those who understand your entrepreneurial drive. Bring your questions and experience, leave with new connections and ideas.

Location: HomeStreet Phinney location, community meeting room. Enter through the side door in the parking lot.

Parking: Do *not* park in the HomeStreet/Ken's shared parking lot. Street parking is available around the neighborhood. Public transportation stops nearby.

What this means to you: The RSVPs on any one site don't accurately reflect attendance. You may see only 3 people RSVP for one event listing, but then 9 may attend the event (because others RSVP on other event listing sites)
