This year's Christmas hike will be a steady loop around Derwent Water, taking in woodland trails, lakeside paths, and open views of the surrounding fells. It's a good chance to get outside before the busyness of the holidays kicks in — a relaxed day on foot with a sociable group, whether you've joined a walk before or it's your first time.
We'll stop at the Borrowdale Hotel partway round for a drink or light lunch, then carry on to complete the loop back to Keswick. The pace will be easy and unhurried — just a chance to stretch your legs, catch up with others, and enjoy some fresh air and good company before the end-of-year rush begins.
