About this Event
The trees we plant today will heighten quality of life for generations to come, and, when they reach end of life, their benefits continue through the use of urban wood products. Please join Wudeward Urban Forest Products in conjunction with AIA Wisconsin and Milwaukee County Parks in a tree-planting event to learn more about the virtuous circle of the urban forest and the role we all must play in its sustainability and regeneration.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. Recognize the essential qualities of urban forests and how to integrate the healthful and restorative characteristics of living trees into our built environments through the use of urban forest products.
2. Understand how the use of urban wood products in the built environment benefits climate health by sequestering and reducing carbon emissions.
3. Recognize how urban wood positively impacts the triple bottom line of social, economic, and environmental value by reducing costs to manage urban forests, strengthening local economies and helping achieve zero waste project goals.
4. Discover the use of urban wood as a building material in the context of long-term forest sustainability and strengthen your connection to the natural environment.
