Enjoy the fresh air on a leisurely stroll with city views as the backdrop of Atlanta's popular linear arboretum. Our docent will share fascinating Atlanta history and guide you through the current season of horticulture interest on the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum. A tour of the Atlanta Beltline is a great way to see the evolving arboretum in its current stage and hear a few notable historical and horticultural stories along the trail on this outdoor excursion. You will be exploring the rails, trails, trees and tales, and the urban fabric that stitches them together along America’s most transformative urban redevelopmentAbout the Tour Guide: Jeff Keesee is a nearly native Atlantan, moving here from Oregon to attend Ga Tech and still living within 1 1/2 miles of campus! His love of trees started while teaching nature merit badges at Boy Scout camp, really took off when volunteering with TA leading up to the Atlanta Olympics in the 90’s, and continues today with docent tours and the occasional tree planting.
