Join the city and Trees Atlanta this Saturday, Feb. 1 from 9 a.m. to noon to plant 50 trees in the city. These trees will provide cleaner air, cool shade, habitat for wildlife and contribute to Avondale's beautiful tree canopy.Planting tasks include digging holes with shovels, untangling roots by hand, mulching, watering and cleaning up the area. All ages are welcome and volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Volunteers aged 16-18 may attend without a parent/legal guardian if they bring a signed waiver with them on Saturday.
