About this Event
Join HNC staff for a tree planting event at Captain Cornelius Park on Saturday October 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Volunteers have been working on the site for several years to remove invasive shrubs like Common Buckthorn. Once the invasive shrubs have been removed we add native plants to enhance the forest understory, creating habitat for a variety of native species.
New and seasoned tree planters are welcome. Gloves and shovels will be provided. Trees will be in small 1-2 gallon pots. Participants may also have the opportunity to tour the site and remove invasive shrubs.
