Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful's free Tree Giveaway is 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at Clover Park, 31 Piazza Drive. Vehicles should enter from University Boulevard.
The event is for Port St. Lucie residents only, and a valid form of identification is needed to prove residency.
Florida-friendly trees to be given away are avocado and Barbados cherry.
This is a drive-thru event, and walk-ups will not be allowed to ensure an efficient distribution process. Each resident will be given one tree. City staff will oversee the event and distribute trees on a first-come, first-served basis.
The goal of KPSLB's Tree Giveaway initiative is to foster community engagement and champion the preservation of Port St. Lucie's natural beauty.
