About this Event
Did you know that Florida celebrates Arbor Day on January 16, 2026? January is a great month to talk about tree care in the home landscape.
We will share tips and basic pruning, mulching, and maintenance practices that will start your new trees off on the right foot and help to properly maintain your existing trees. Even if you hire a professional for tree work, it is important to know what to ask for! Join our Certified Arborist for tree care tips at this month’s workshop.
Workshop is presented by UF/IFAS Extension Polk County and the City of Lakeland Library.
Additional parking: There is a parking lot behind the Sorosis building next to the library. This building is in between the library and the First United Methodist Church.
If any accommodations are needed, please contact Julie Schelb at 863-519-1041 or [email protected]. Requests should be made as soon as possible but at least ten days prior to the scheduled meeting.
