Financial stress and uncertainty are increasingly evident in clinical work and can affect nearly every area of functioning. In this training, we explore the emotional and behavioral patterns connected to financial anxiety, along with practical, evidence-informed strategies clinicians can use to help clients manage worry, avoidance, shame, and chronic stress related to money.
Elizabeth DuPont Spencer, LCSW-C, is a highly esteemed licensed clinical social worker and board-approved supervisor with 30 years of experience in private practice. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy using exposure and response prevention to treat anxiety disorders, OCD, and depression, with clients ranging from children to adults.
Kimberly is a graduate of the International Obsessive Compulsive Foundation's Behavior Therapy Institute and is a former board member for the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation of Western Pennsylvania. She is an active member of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America and has created training videos to teach clinicians the evidence-based treatment for anxiety and OCD.
