Marlene Lahmer (*1996, Austria) studied Transdisciplinary Art and English in Vienna. Her artistic tools are writing, performance and glasswork. She published her first book last year and lives between Spain and Estonia this year.
Clara Rival (*1986, Argentina) studied Visual Arts in Buenos Aires and has been on the move ever since, travelling and painting. In recent years, she lived between France and Mexico. Currently, she resides in Barcelona and has her studio at La Clandestina, Poble Nou.

Marlene Lahmer (*1996, Austria) estudió Arte Transdisciplinar e Inglés en Viena. Sus herramientas artísticas son la escritura, la performance y el trabajo en vidrio. Publicó su primer libro el año pasado y este año vive entre España y Estonia.
Clara Rival (*1986, Argentina) estudió Artes Visuales en Buenos Aires y desde entonces ha estado en movimiento, viajando y pintando. En los últimos años ha vivido entre Francia y México. Actualmente reside en Barcelona y tiene su estudio en La Clandestina, Poble Nou.

Vibrant natures conquer environments that originate from the intersection of Clara Rival’s (Argentina, 1986) memories and visions. In her paintings, lush plants envelope fragments of richly decorated structures and buildings, evoking classical architecture and its evolution to the present day.
It is inevitable to see a link between Clara's work and the infinite Rome of Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720-1788). In his depictions, the artist and architect reflects the grandeur of ancient monuments, transformed by the passage of time, and their appropriation by a ceaselessly growing nature.
VISIONS OF ETERNAL GROWTH alludes to these spaces that caress our pasts and histories and at the same time allow us to glimpse at new universes.
‘VISIONS OF ETERNAL GROWTH’ is curated by RICE Initiative, a platform dedicated to creating a more egalitarian and inclusive art world. Hence, we focus on representing female*, LGTBQ+, and racialised artists.

El evento es parte de la exposición 'VISIONS OF ETERNAL GROWTH (Visiones de lo que crece sin fin)' en la Galería de Arte FLIPA en Barcelona.

Naturalezas vibrantes conquistan entornos que nacen de la unión entre las memorias y visiones de Clara Rival (Argentina, 1986). En sus pinturas, plantas exuberantes envuelven fragmentos de estructuras y construcciones ricamente decoradas, que evocan la arquitectura clásica y su evolución hasta el presente.
Es inevitable ver en vínculo del trabajo de Clara con la Roma infinita que retrata Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720-1788), en la que el artista y arquitecto refleja la grandiosidad de los antiguos monumentos, transformados por el paso del tiempo y su apropiación por parte de una naturaleza que nunca cesa de crecer.
VISIONES DE CRECIMIENTO SIN FIN alude a éstos espacios que acarician el pasado y nuestras historias y a su vez crean nuevos universos.
VISIONES DE LO QUE CRECE SIN FIN está comisariada por RICE Initiative, una plataforma dedicada a crear un mundo artístico más igualitario e inclusivo. Por eso, nos centramos en representar a artistas mujeres*, LGTBQ+ y racializados.
