About this Event
This performance draws inspiration from the tiled fountains, the ancestors of this region, and the gigantic Morteon Fig tree. Similar to the tile pieces, it is only as a whole that we see the unique work of art we all make through our interconnectedness as a society. The goal of this performance is to highlight our differences and what brings us together as a whole to form a community. The ancient Egyptians believed the roots of the fig tree represented the past, the trunk the present, and the leaves and branches the future. Join us on a contemplative walking meditative experience as we witness professional dancers guide us on this journey.
Directed, Choreographed, and produced by the founder of Performative Pop-ups, Olivia Mia Orozco Saper. Performers include Melanie Bizzoco and Hannah Rios.
When you arrive at the San Buenaventura Mission please meet by the fountain in front of the Mission, located between S Ventura Ave and Figueroa Street Mall.
Free parking lots off of Santa Clara St and throughout the downtown district.Free all-ages event. Donations are strongly encouraged to support the artists.
