About this Event
Work Respect's trauma informed, person-centred sexual harassment support training provides participants with the understanding, skills, strategies and techniques to provide trauma-informed and person-centred support to people impacted by sexual harassment within the organisation.
Building a system that supports a victim after a report of sexual harassment provides the foundation of a trusted and transparent response system. There is an inherent connection between providing adequate support to your workforce and an individual’s willingness to report incidents of sexual harassment. When support provided within organisations in response to reports of sexual harassment, is based on placing safety, support and the wellbeing of people at the core of the process and decision-making, it enhances the trust among employees. and Knowing your processes will do no further harm to people’s wellbeing and will give your people the confidence to report and address sexual harassment.
Delivered over three hours, the workshop incorporates recommendations from Respect@Work: National Inquiry into Sexual Harassment in Australian Workplaces: Australian Human Rights Commission (2020).
