About this Event
Rest and restoration are vital and we don’t always give ourselves the space to do either. Join Norma in this intentional and gentle asana practice as we take in the new moon energy and make space for ourselves to reflect, let go, and ease into a new moon cycle, setting new intentions for ourselves while allowing our bodies to unwind and find some tranquility.
This is a virtual space - all you’ll need is Zoom (link shared the day of), a mat, and water. We also invite you to try to create a space for yourself, if possible, to help you relax and feel at home, like lighting candles or incense, playing soft music if it helps you, or finding a quiet space, among other things. Feel free to have any props that can help you ease into postures, like yoga blocks, pillows, thick folded blankets, etc. nearby.
Intended Audience: Open to BIPOC, LGBTQ+ folk, and active allies.
Instructor Bio: Norma Uriostegui (she/hers) is a yoga instructor and forever a yoga student, having practiced for over 8 years and always learning different ways of embodying this practice, on and off the mat. She is a community organizer with a firm belief in personal liberation and transformation for the sake of collective liberation and transformation - that one cannot exist without the other and both need to be practiced simultaneously in order to truly get free.
