About this Event
What is the training about?
Trauma-Informed Care is crucial for creating supportive environments that acknowledge the impact of trauma on individuals. This course delves into the concept of trauma and its profound effects on people’s lives. It emphasises understanding trauma as more than just a single event; rather, it’s about recognising the ongoing effects of overwhelming experiences on an individual’s wellbeing. By integrating trauma-informed practices, you can enhance your ability to support individuals effectively and avoid re-traumatisation, fostering a safer and more understanding environment.
Who is it for?
This course is ideal for professionals in fields such as social care, mental health, education, and any sector working with individuals who have experienced trauma. It’s particularly valuable for those involved in providing direct support, including front-line staff and managers, who need to understand and apply trauma-informed practices in their work.
This training is provided by Together UK, Norfolk County Council and Change Grow Live Norfolk. The training will be delivered by Jane Donohoe, one of the UK's leading trauma specialists.
