Trauma Healing Course 2025

Catherine is a trauma informed ICF certified Professional Life Coach and also a Master Facilitator with the Trauma Healing Institute. She is also trained in Rapha/ Sozo and Formational Prayer Ministry. She has her B.A./B. ED and has served as a teacher with the school board as well as a children's pastor in several ministries. Catherine is passionate about educating and equipping individuals to process and find freedom from the mental, spiritual and emotional effects of heart wounds. She is Agora's Trauma Healing Ministry Lead and provides healing groups for those processing their heart wounds as well as training, equipping and certification for leaders who demonstrate necessary skills to help traumatized people and who are wishing to begin Trauma Healing Ministry.

This online small group is limited to 12 for creating a space to share and heal. The group invites participants to begin the process of healing wounds of the heart—emotions, spirit, soul—from trauma, grief, and loss. This 6 week group will be led by facilitators who are trained in Bible-based trauma healing through the Trauma Healing Institute.

Together, we will make a safe space for group members (over 18 years of age) to:

-Learn about trauma and its effects

-Explore any trauma or loss you may be carrying

-Understand the grief journey and how to grieve well

- Release some of the emotional pain you carry

- Understand what the bible says about suffering

- Build resilience and tools for the future

The Trauma Healing Group will take place Thursday afternoons on zoom for six sessions that occur from 2:00-4:30 pm (EST). The dates will be the following Thursdays: May 22, 29, June 5, 12, 19, 26.

Each week builds on the foundation of healing that was laid the previous week, and so it is important that by registering you are committing to attend each of these dates. In doing so we also create a safe framework for those registered. A zoom link that is used for all 6 sessions will be sent out one week ahead of sessions beginning.

About the group model: This online Bible-based trauma healing training uses the book Healing the Wounds of Trauma: How the Church Can Help and its associated program model, a proven approach using applied Scripture and best mental health principles, to address spiritual and emotional wounds caused by the trauma of war, ethnic conflicts, natural disasters, abuse, and other similar events. The book has been translated and used in over 100 countries with more than 200 language groups in Africa, Asia, the Pacific, Europe, and the Americas.
