About this Event
Fuller is excited to host Dr. Dan Allender and the team from the Allender Center (https://theallendercenter.org/) on the Fuller campus on January 7, 2026 for a chapel service at 10AM (in Travis Auditorium) and this CE-approved Panel Discussion on Trauma and Spiritual Abuse from 11:30AM-1PM in Payton Hall 101. Lunch is included, and alumni, students, faculty, and the general public are all welcome to attend. Zoom attendance will be offered as well (see ticket options below), and additional details will be provided prior to the event.

Learning Objectives:
- Participants will be able to recall three different types or definitions of trauma.
- Participants will be able to describe two ways in which the experience of trauma might interact with the religious beliefs and/or spirituality of the survivor.
- Participants will be able to name four different psychological symptoms or consequences commonly associated with the experience of trauma involving religious leaders and/or religious contexts.
- Participants will be able to apply theologically-informed and psychologically-informed principles and practices of recovery from the impact of trauma upon one’s religious beliefs and spirituality.
This course is designed for everyone from graduate-level students to working professionals, especially mental health professionals.
