The "Trashy Bike Festival" on June 15th from 11-2p in the Tacoma Proctor District (N. 28th and Proctor Street). This event aims to promote sustainable transportation and environmental awareness. Participants are invited bike to La Paloma Market, learn about bike safety, get a free maintenance check and learn about ways to reduce trash in the city while helping to clean-up Proctor. We will provide all needed supplies: compostable bags, trash grabbers, gloves, safety vests,snacks & water station.
We are collaborating with Oscars Enemies with a volunteer driven trash pick up beginning at 11 am and will be holding a raffle at 12:15 with fun prizes!!! Be sure to register to enter drawing.
The event offers educational information on solid waste management in Tacoma as well as ways to get involved to help keep our city clean!
