Trash People x the pub: Clean-Up + "Bring Your Own Vinyl" Night!
About this Event
We're joining forces with (a print-only publication!) to host an early evening community clean-up at their headquarters in Bucktown. We'll start there and pick up trash in the neighborhood and whatnot for about an hour an change. Afterwards, we'll seamlessly transition (like a good DJ) to the pub's Bring Your Own Vinyl Night! This is a monthly hang that consists of attendees (like you?) bringing records that fit the theme (this time it's Cookout Vibes), listening to them, and just hanging out. BYOV Night runs from 6:00pm until 10:00pm! You need to register for the clean-up but are more than welcome to swing by BYOV Night at any time! More details here!
Come through for a Friday night of Trash and Tunes!
What to expect:
- Meet us at the pub house no later than 5:30pm! We will learn a bit about the pub, distribute all the necessary gear and go routes and safety! We will head out and scour the streets in the area for about an hour and change and wrap up back at the pub house, right in time for Bring Your Own Vinyl Night! Please note advanced registration is essential due to the number of interested participants - please don't just show up to the clean-up!
- Everyone is welcome, and we hope you'll join us, especially if you haven't been before! We are a friendly bunch and exist not only to contribute to our community, but to make new friends within it, too :)

What to bring
- Please check the weather and bring appropriate clothing/supplies - specifically you may like to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and hand sanitizer. Be sure to wear comfortable and weather-appropriate shoes.
- If you plan on bringing a vinyl record or two, we should be able to store it at the pub house during the clean-up!
- No need to bring anything else - we supply all equipment (bags, gloves, grabbers, etc.)
- If you want to bring a friend, please also have them register via the Eventbrite link so we can plan accordingly - we also need all attendees to acknowledge our waiver.
What not to bring
- We love pets, but you'll need both hands, and we'll be working near busy streets! We regret dogs aren't allowed to join Trash People events, but you're very welcome to show us pictures :)
- We mostly work near busy roads, so for safety reasons, our events are adult-only (18+).
- If the event is fully booked, please add yourself to the waitlist or join us for the next one! In order to keep the group manageable for us as organizers, to ensure we have enough supplies, and to ensure all participants have signed our waiver, we require all attendees to have formally RSVPd through Eventbrite.
