Trash Free Waters boat Cleanup Day

Come join us on the Hillsborough River with our 26 foot boat as we cruise along collecting marine debris while learning where it comes from and how you can help us change this.

This cleanup is a part of Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful's Trash Free Waters Program and serves as a call to action to create more sustainable communities by focusing volunteer efforts on activities that impact individuals in need, lead to aesthetic community improvements, and provide a positive environmental impact. Litter on roadways, in parks, rivers, and neighborhoods negatively affects the environment, and isn’t something residents or visitors want to see in their community.

Volunteers will meet Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful's Boat Captain and Trash Free Waters Manager, Captain Al , and join him as you travel to areas of need on the Hillsborough River collecting debris.

Take off at: 9:30am

Cleanup from: 9:30-11:30am

Where: Public Boat Docks by Armature Works ( Not Armature Works main dock )

( Multiple aluminum docks along side of Armature) - Approximate location: 27.960748, -82.466410

Parking: Street Parking along Sandra Heights Ln and Cruis a Cade Pl ( Look at map in Satellite view look for brick cut ins along road just above the 3 public docks)

What to Bring:

Sunscreen

Hat/Sunglasses

Protective footwear (closed-toed, no sandals or flip-flops)

Reusable water bottle

Snack

Life jacket, trash bags, water and soft gloves are provided. Only 5 spots available for this event. Promotional giveaways available while supplies last.
