There are currently 11 Trappist breweries in the world producing beer (and we will be showcasing 10 of them) and they’re responsible for creating beers that are legally and legitimately approved to be called Trappist ales (brewed 100% by monks). The monasteries are located in Europe – where the Trappist monks rebuilt after the French Revolution – with six in Belgium, two in the Netherlands, one in Great Britain, one in France and the oldest in Italy. We will be showcasing 10 Trappist Monasteries and their finest offerings.
