Join THE highlight of our event year at După Gard. This year the Transilvania Permaculture Campfire takes place from August 6-10, 2026, in Poșaga, within the breathtaking Apuseni Mountains.
Started as a spontaneous gathering of permaculture enthusiasts in 2023, it has developed considerably since - this year we are ready to offer you a very special spectacle. The aim is to connect the permaculture community of Romania with the international community.
🌀 Our Gathering Schedule 🌀
Thursday Evening: We settle into the peace of the mountains with a welcome circle and storytelling. Our guest Andrei, a mythology weaver of modernity, will lead a session around the first campfire to help us imagine and feel into what community means for us individually and as a collective.
🛖 Friday: We begin the day with Bogdan Romanică and his experiential workshop, Awakening to the Spirit of Place. This journey helps us engage with the subtle energies of the land and attune to the more-than-human community of plant and animal people. Throughout the rest of the day, there may be space for participant-led workshops. In the evening, Bogdan Racolta will join our drum circle led by Ursu, as we merge into the nightly fire.
Saturday: Our main workshop features Beatriz Gallego from Spain, who will facilitate an introductory Dragon Dreaming session focused on the win-win-win philosophy for collaborative projects. The night belongs to the music of Ursu (Sounds of Om) as the Perseids meteor shower dances above us.
Sunday: A slow Community Day focused on resting, relating, and social permaculture. This is a special day where locals will present their traditional crafts and products for us to discover.
👣 Monday: For those who stay, we conclude our journey with a guided hike to dive deeper into the surrounding mountains. Sturdy boots, water, and sun protection are mandatory for this activity.
🏕️ Logistics and Heart 🏕️
Stays are primarily camping-based in your own tent at no extra cost, though we have a limited number of glamping, tiny house, and barn spots available on request. We have recently updated our facilities with a new warm shower at the campsite to make your stay more comfortable.
This is a self-sufficient event; please bring your own food and personal crockery. We provide a community fire pit with a large pot and fresh vegetables from our permaculture garden as availability allows. To keep our space safe and respectful for all beings, we maintain a strict no-drug and no-alcohol policy during sunlight hours, and we kindly ask you to leave pets at home to protect the local ecosystem.
The suggested fee for those with a stable income is 100 Euro (500 lei), which helps support the project and future editions. Representatives of national permaculture associations or those contributing a workshop or performance receive free access. If you are not able to pay the fee, please mention in the form, as we want to give access to everyone sincerely interested.
