After a successful catfishing on a musician networking website, Sarah McTaggart began to collaborate with producer and bassist Mike Panek across the world, and over the internet writing the beginnings of what would eventually become Transviolet.
She made the move from the Cayman Islands, to Toronto, landing eventually in San Diego where they met for the first time and sparks flew, or at the very least no one was serial killed. Jon Garcia was brought in on drums, and later Judah McCarthy on guitar and keys after moving to LA and signing their first publishing deal. Self written, self mixed, self released, the band is taking the reins and show no signs of slowing down.
Singer-songwriter Cassidy King bares through her immensely relatable past sapphic relationships and situationships with poignant lyricism and forward-thinking production. Her ability to be open and intensely personal has led to a devoted fanbase constantly increasing in size. As a proud, queer woman, she offers a voice to those who are still finding the words to share their own stories. But what King’s fans may not know is that it took her a long time to find this self-assurance—and that they played a crucial part in empowering her to do so.
LA's glitter grunge princess, Holander, embodies the bright lights and buzzing energy of a city after dark. Writing about queerness and mental health amongst a backdrop funny, edgy, earworm pop melodies, her wacky lyrics and hyperpop sensibility allows her to drill real messages of love, confidence, and strength in her fans, all while "gettin' hoes, at the Trader Joe's."
