Join us on Thursday, October 17, 2024 to hear clinicians, investigators, regulators, and other leaders in the field discuss pressing issues in transplant ethics and policy!
Marking the 40th anniversary of the National Organ Transplant Act (NOTA), this conference will focus on the evolution of organ donation and transplant regulation and practice in the United States. Panel discussions will proactively address emerging and critical ethical challenges in transplant research, medicine, and policy.
The first portion of the day will focus on existing policy and the current restructuring of transplant oversight. The second portion of the day will focus on ethical issues in donation after circulatory death, xenotransplantation, vascular composite allografts, and more. The conference is co-hosted by the NYU Langone Transplant Institute and the Division of Medical Ethics. The event will be held in person in the Murphy Auditorium at the NYU Langone Health Medical Center, located at 550 1st Avenue, New York, NY 10016.
