Body in Translation is a collective exploring the body as a site of translation.

Across diasporic, queer and subcultural communities, the body has long carried forms of knowledge that resist documentation.

Through movement, sound, modification, ritual and image, it remembers what cannot always be written down, and transmits what often remains unseen.

We are interested in the body not as representation, but as practice, as a way of negotiating identity, distance, belonging, pleasure, survival and change.

Body in Translation brings together artists working across performance, sound, and body-based practices.

We see translation not as the search for clarity, but as an ongoing process of adaptation, friction and transformation.

We are drawn to what the body knows.

How it remembers.

How it transforms what we carry, with what we have.

Body, sound, object.

We hold space for these transmissions to meet.
