About this Event

Welcome to TechWeek 2022!

For more than 20 years, researchers at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute have been breaking boundaries to improve the diagnosis and treatment of injury or disease.

Join us at the iconic Shakespeare Restaurant & Brewery to hear about the startup companies that we've launched based on our world-leading research.

Kiwrious was recently recognised by the United Nations for making science fun and accessible for kids, with their colourful sensor kits. Sonia Dupuch, Kiwrious Business Development, will talk about their award-winning rise over the past few years.

Elbaware has developed a novel solution to the problem of face touching - which can save lives during a global pandemic. Founder and CMO John Windsor will demonstrate in person what their products can do.

Dr Vickie Shim will talk about her research into the long-term effects of concussion, including computational modelling of the brain, and its commercial potential.

The evening will be MC'd by Dr Diana Siew, who manages the Cloud 9 startup hub at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute.

The Shakespeare Restaurant & Brewery is an Auckland Institution, welcoming locals and tourists since1898. Come show your support for this iconic venue.
