The Transitus of St. Francis is celebrated by Franciscans all over the world on October 3rd. This is the vigil of the Feast of St. Francis and is a night to commemorate the his passage from life on earth to eternal life with the Lord. This year marks the 7th annual joint commemoration by the Franciscan friars of the Padre Pio Friary with St Mark’s Church, Frankford.
This simple and solemn prayer service will begin at St. Mark's and be followed by a short procession down Frankford Ave to St. Joachim R.C. Church for Evening Prayer.
All who seek to observe the Gospel of Jesus by following the example of Francis of Assisi in Frankford and beyond are warmly welcomed and invited.
