Transit Month Wrap Party with Muni Diaries

Join the Muni Diaries podcast and KALW for a transit month wrap party featuring the premiere of the short film, "Stop Request" from local filmmakers Felix Milionis and Jean-Pierre Diemer. The event will include mingling and a Q&A following the film. Felix and Jean-Pierre are San Francisco based filmmakers who have historically made sci-fi and fiction films. "Stop Request" is their first forray into nonfiction as they documented their attempt to ride all Muni routes within 24 hours.

Felix Milionis – Felix Milionis is an independent filmmaker and commercial producer. His film Peripheral—a two-year project with a 50-person crew—screened at the Bernal Hill Film Festival and Artists’ Television Access, winning Best Sound Design from Faba Films. The film opens with a choreographed fight staged at a real sideshow before 300 unsuspecting spectators, capturing the raw energy that defines his work. He is currently developing his feature-length film Sideshow Surrealism, with a public sideshow event on October 4 at Thunderhill Raceway Park.

Jean-Pierre Diemer – Jean-Pierre Diemer is a San Francisco–based filmmaker who has made several films, notably The Rave, a loose adaptation of James Joyce’s short story Araby. He is particularly interested in capturing San Francisco characters on screen. Diemer is currently in pre-production on his debut feature, Indebted.

Your RSVP includes admission to Open Decks: Community Art in Motion, a collaborative art exhibition and cultural program featuring original art by 100 Bay Area artists on skateboard decks. Open Decks is on view from July 24 - October 31, 2025.

There is a $10 - $20 sliding scale suggested donation for this event. Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.

• The event space is just to the left of the main entrance to the Mills Building at 220 Montgomery Street
• We recommend taking BART/MUNI, exiting at Montgomery, and walking two blocks north
• Ride-shares can drop off and pick up directly in front of the venue
• If you drive, there are several garages within two blocks of the event location; free street parking is available across from the venue at 7:00 pm
