Join us at Wichita City Council Chambers for the reading of the Transgender Day of Visibility 2025 proclamation!Now more than ever, we must stand with our transgender family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues in celebration and solidarity. Trans people bring valuable skills and experiences to Wichita that make us all better. We should be fostering communities that celebrate that added value and the humanity behind it.
After all, inclusion is smart business!
Leave your signs at home, but feel free to bring yourself and a friend (or a few) to 455 N. Main St. The City Council meeting begins at 6 p.m. Please be mindful to leave plenty of time to get through security, including a metal detector.
Transgender Day of Visibility is officially celebrated on March 31st.
