Join S.T.A.R.T. on Saturday, November 9th for our Transgender Day of Remembrance Community Gallery & Live Art Event. TDOR is a yearly international event where we honor our trans family who were taken from us too soon via violence, uplift our local trans community as they mourn, and educate cisgender allies about the struggles and loss of transgender life.
An array of poetry and live music will accompany a curated gallery, centered around 10 words that capture the complex emotions this yearly observance brings out for our global transgender community, and highlight trans joys, fears, dreams, and sorrows discovered throughout their journey to their authentic selves.
We will have a silent auction going throughout the event to fundraise for S.T.A.R.T., as well as a resource table for local community needs and connections.
This gallery is part one of our 2 TDOR events at The Fairbanks, with our Remembrance event on Wednesday, November 20th. Please be sure to join us for both and show your love and solidarity with your local transgender community.
