About the speakers
Erika Ng is an ecologist at Witteveen+Bos South East Asia. Their interests include the sustainable development of coastal ecosystems, such as mangroves, coral and oyster reefs, in the face of climate change. As an ecologist, they conduct ecological systems analysis and environmental impact assessments for projects in and beyond Singapore. Their expertise in nature-based solutions shapes designs to provide long-lasting benefits for people and nature.
Fascinated by the mysteries beneath the waves, Wei Xuan began scuba diving at 16. Passionate about coral reefs, she pursued environmental education and conservation, earning a degree in environmental science. Dedicated to hands-on work, she contributed to whale shark conservation in the Philippines with LAMAVE and collaborated on coral propagation with Ocean Quest on Sepanggar Island. Currently, she leverages her expertise within the field team, supporting local and regional conservation projects with WWF-Singapore.
