About this Event
WHAT IS A THERAPEUTIC EDUCATOR?
Come study and play in the Lake Tahoe Forest Area and find the answer in yourself!

Combine learning with vacation! Join us for four days in a retreat-like setting. And after class, have fun in the beautiful Lake Tahoe region of California. We planned this workshop to be informative, practical, and renewing. Not only can you forest bathe, swim in deep clear waters, hike beautiful trails and play at a Lake Tahoe Beach… but you will be learning and fulfilling your professional development at the same time.

Classes from 8:30am - 1:00pm. August 9-12.

Cost

$550, includes tuition and snacks for the four days

Our Location

The location is about 10 minutes outside Truckee, California, on 40 acres backed up to the Tahoe National Forest with Prosser Creek and Dam quite nearby. The beautiful school building can house our classes and snacks will be outside under a tent-shelter. There is plenty of opportunity to be both alone and with others in this beautiful natural setting.

Lodging

The Truckee Area offers many AirB&B opportunities.

We are hoping to offer a camping site at or near our location so that attendees can camp, have good morning walks, and come to class. The camping could offer a low-cost and enjoyable opportunity in the Tahoe National Forest. Bathrooms and Showers will be available. We hope to offer campsites at $35 a night. We will soon know cost as we are working with Tahoe National Forest for all the requisite requirements.

Attendee Requirements
  • A Foundation in Anthroposopy. This is more advanced, medically based and assumes that the student has more than a familiarity with Child Development, Human Consciousness and the Image of the Human as gained when one studies the work of Rudolf Steiner.
  • Experience working with school-age children: Waldorf Class Teacher, Kindergarten Teacher, Remedial Teacher, Therapist, School Psychologist etc.

If you have questions about your own qualifications for this workshop, please set up an appointment with Bonnie River. ([email protected])

Enrollment is limited. Register soon to reserve your place.
