We will discuss helpful components of the Rosicrucian meditation technique, including concentration, entering the silence of the formless state and the use of intuition.
What is Transcendental Meditation: Transcendental meditation is transcending the impressions of one’s immediate world, by shutting out thoughts and concepts that normally bombard the mind and by going beyond one’s present environment. Any worthwhile meditation practice is transcendental. The meditator aims to reach for inspiration above and beyond the mundane objective level of existence by entering the subjective plane. At the subjective level, the practitioner becomes susceptible to receiving cosmic illumination from the formless state. History of the Technique: The technique has been known to Mystics for thousands of years and only recently been commercialized. Meditation fads have helped to bring the practice out in the open. Rosicrucians teach this and have taught this throughout the years of membership. Other organizations have also employed this art.
What is Meditation? Meditation is communion with the Inner Self, with the Cosmic. Meditation is a learning experience. Meditation is release from mental storms.
Benefits of Meditation:
• A person could balance their lives between the mundane and the sublime, thus bringing peace to their inner self.
• A person could relieve tension, gain inspiration, and generally improve their lives.
• A person may perhaps receive insights into what he/she must do.
• A person is able to evaluate past behaviour and other’s reactions to it.
What Happens after Meditation?• A person goes back to the same world, somewhat relaxed and ready to reassess his/her problems. • The problems still require attention, work, and effort, but now can be considered from new angles.
Brief Explanation of the Procedure:
• Set aside some time and space for yourself.
• Review some puzzling or problematic situation that is uppermost in the mind. Review what you and others have done about it.
• Acknowledge the good that has been done.
• Acknowledge the good that still can be done
• Think it through with thoughts of searching for a solution.
• THEN MEDITATE.
• Reach into the formless state, rest, and wait.
