National Transgender Day of Remembrance is November 20th, 2024, and R.D. Shepard, several local trans & nonbinary artists, and Harvester Artist Lofts & Gallery are collaborating to give a memorial to those we've lost this year and previous years: Transcendence, a #TDOR Art Exhibition at Harvester Artist Lofts & Gallery.Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is a day of grief for the transgender community. We celebrate the lives of those we've lost to transphobic violence and suicide, and we pledge to do the work to keep trans people in our communities safe for the future.
Admission is free with an encouraged minimum $5 donation to local trans nonprofit organizations such as OneNebraska, Trans Stitchin, Black & Pink, etc. Featuring the work of 10+ trans & nonbinary artists, this exhibition aims to bring awareness and empathy to those unfamiliar with the trans community.
