Kwasi Konadu is an award-winning historian, healer, publisher, and formerly the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Endowed Chair and Professor at Colgate University. He teaches courses on African history and African diasporic histories and culture. He is the author of Many Black Women of this Fortress (Hurst/Oxford U. Press, 2022); Africa’s Gold Coast through Portuguese Sources, 1471-1671 (British Academy/Oxford U.
