About this Event
Trans Sound is a series of events focusing on music/singing.
Led by professional music facilitator Marix (they/them), the aim of these events is to be a space for trans and nonbinary folks to come together around a love of music.
You don’t have to be musical or play any instruments to attend. Marix has experience in bringing a group together around a song or a piece of music, allowing everyone to feel comfortable taking part.
Event dates
- Sunday 20th October: T and Jam
A space for folks to come together and play some music. On this guided session Marix will do their best to find a part for everyone – whether you can play or sing a little bit, you play or sing regularly, or even if you don’t consider yourself musical but would like to contribute your voice or use a tambourine.
- Sunday 10th November: Group Singing
This session will be built around trans/nonbinary people and our voices. Whether you have an interest in choir, in singing in a band, or just want to explore your voice some more, this guided event is for you.
Who we welcome
We welcome all trans and non-binary people over 16, as well as people with trans history or those who are exploring their gender. Anyone living in or travelling to Glasgow can join.
