DCATS Game Night
Join DCATS for a chill, indoor game night—a low-key space to meet new people, play games, and spend time together in community.
Game Night is social and casual. You can jump into games, hang out and chat, or just observe—whatever feels right for you.
Who This Event Is For
This event is open to all trans people (18+).
- Guests: You may bring one guest of any gender
- Non-trans guests must attend with a trans invitee
- Anyone who is not trans and arrives alone will be asked to leave
Important: Invitation Required
Game Night is invite-only to help maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
- You must request an invitation and complete vetting questions no later than the night before the event
- The full address will be shared after your invitation is approved

- Joining our WhatsApp group (for transmasc folks only). If you are not currently a member you can text 202-240-7535 for answer some vetting questions and receive the link)
Event Details
- When: Multiple dates throughout the year, 7:00–10:00 pm
- Where: Indoors, near Deanwood Metro (5-minute walk)
- Free street parking available
- Full address provided after invitation approval
- Age: 18+
Games & Activities
We’ll have a wide variety of board and party games available, including:
Cards Against Humanity, Charty Party, Codenames Pictures, Dutch Blitz, Dumb Ways to Die, Exploding Kittens, Flip 7, Game of Life, Lotería, Monopoly, Nekojima, Pandemic, Phase 10, Planted, Scattergories, Sushi Go!, The Fuzzies, The Mind, Ticket to Ride, Uno, Yahtzee — plus Jackbox games.
- Feel free to bring a favorite game to share
- Binder donations accepted for our program
- Surgery supplies may be dropped off
- Free shot kits available for those who need syringes
- Free medical supplies available for surgery recovery
DCATS Library
Our DCATS library will be open during Game Night.
The collection is a curated selection of mostly books by trans authors or featuring trans characters, across a variety of genres. Attendees are welcome to browse and check out materials.
Food & Drinks
- Water, non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks provided
- Bringing a snack or drink to share is welcome
- Alcohol permitted for those 21+
- Smoking allowed outside only
Accessibility
- 5 steps to enter the main front door
- Private residence
- Dogs live in the home (not present during the event, but dog hair may be present)
- No other pets allowed
- If you have a service animal, please inquire in advance
- Bathrooms:
- Main level bathroom: 25” doorway
- Basement bathroom: 30” doorway
- ASL interpretation: Not available for this event
