About this Event

📍 Private residence – invitation only
Indoor/Outdoor | Ages 18+

DCATS invites you to Trans Community Nights — a recurring series of vibrant, welcoming gatherings for trans, nonbinary, and gender-diverse folks across the DMV. Happening every few months, these events are designed to bring our community together to connect, collaborate, and support one another.

Come meet new people, share stories, enjoy good food, and build lasting connections. Whether you’re new to the area or deeply rooted in the community, there’s a place for you here.

📨 How to Get an Invite

All invitations are managed through Partiful, our event platform. Once you’ve received an invite for one event, you’ll automatically be able to RSVP for future Community Nights.

Here’s how to get your invite:

If you’re a transmasc person in DC, Maryland, or Virginia and already part of the DCATS WhatsApp Community, check the Announcements thread for the Partiful link.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Know someone in DCATS but not part of the Whatsapp group? They can invite you directly by sharing the Partiful link

📝 Not in the WhatsApp group?
Fill out Eventbrite form and the and make sure to answer all the custom questions. Eventbrite asks for basic details, then once you press Submit, it typically asks you to answer the custom questions which we then use to verify you can attend our event. If you don't see this or it's been more than a few days and you haven't received an invite, email [email protected]

Once reviewed, we’ll send you a Partiful invite via email. After that, you’ll be able to RSVP for this and any future Trans Community Nights without reapplying.

✨ What to Expect at our November event
🍽️ Food & Potluck
  • We’ll provide a vegetarian main dish- moroccan chickpea stew with flatbread.
  • If weather allows, we'll have a bonfire outside with a s'mores station
  • Bring a snack OR beverage to share if you’re able — coolers will be available.
  • Alcohol is allowed in moderation for those 21+. This is a community space, so please be respectful.

👕 Clothing Drive
  • Since the weather may not cooperate (and therefore lack of space), no clothing drive for our November event.
  • Instead, we'll have two fantastic vendors who specialize in apparel.

🎉 Activities & Connection

These events are about more than just hanging out — they’re about building real connections and having fun while doing it!

  • Downstairs we'll have a variety of board games and tables setup for play
  • Our queer and trans library will also be open for folks to peruse
  • Scavenger Hunt!: Complete the hunt and be entered to win a gift card for our vendors.
  • Buttons with Oliver!: At 8 pm, Oliver will run a crafting sessions where folks can make collages and turn them into their own buttons! No experience or materials required.

🛍️ Support Trans Vendors

We’re inviting a few local trans-owned businesses to table at the event — come browse, buy, and support our community. Below is a list of those vendors.

17th and Granville: 17th & Granville is an Inclusive gender neutral urban clothing brand focused on BIPOC and LGBTQ+ Culture.

Boy Fruit Threads: Boy Fruit Threads is a curated collection of secondhand, gender-expansive clothing with a fruity flair. Trans-owned and based in DC, they focus on affordability, accessibility, and style that makes you excited to get dressed in the morning.
