Trans Active Glasgow Beginners Yoga

This will be a 2 hour introduction to the foundations of yoga for anyone newer to the practice or those wanting to brush up on the basics. There will be an emphasis on making the yoga practice work for varied bodies and backgrounds to get the most out of the class - and there is no expectation of prior experience or fitness or flexibility level. As with all Trans Active Glasgow events this is a free event and you are able to reclaim travel expenses.

This workshop will consist of:

- Beginners breathing techniques and mindfulness

- An overview of common yoga poses

- Sun salutations

- Relaxation

Studio 70 have mats you can borrow but you are also welcome to bring your own mat if you already own one. They have advised for you to wear comfortable, loose or stretchy clothing; and as the studio are keeping the rooms well ventilated, they have also advised you to bring a cosy jumper or fleece in case you start feeling cold. A bottle of water would also be a good idea!

Accessibility Info:

The studio is on the first floor up a flight of stairs with handrail and there is no lift access. The door to the studio is at the end of the building and there will be a pavement sign outside the front door indicating Studio 70. There is a single gender neutral bathroom.

There is no weight limit for the yoga.
